Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the website of the Arizona Multiple Listing Service, Inc. ("ARMLS") at www.armls.com and any pages or sites of ARMLS ending in armls.com.

OVERVIEW

We understand the power that the Internet holds for changing your life and making things easier for you. These benefits are at risk if people are concerned about their personal privacy. We are committed to providing you with an Internet experience that respects and protects your personal privacy choices and concerns.

Our privacy policy and practices are detailed below. Please read them thoroughly. We make two pledges to you:

a. We will not sell or release Personally Identifiable Information about you to outside parties without your permission (except as needed to provide to you the services you have expressly requested, or except in exceptional circumstances where this may be required by law or to protect legal rights).

b. You can tell us what your privacy questions and concerns are so that we can respond.

HELPFUL DEFINITIONS

For this Privacy Policy:

"ARMLS" or "we" refers to Arizona Multiple Listing Service, Inc. and its subsidiaries.

"Personally Identifiable Information" refers to information or a combination of information that can be used to uniquely identify you.

"Anonymous Information" refers to information that is not Personally Identifiable Information. Anonymous Information includes information about how you use our site (such as sites you visit and searches you do). Anonymous Information also includes the domain names and/or I.P. addresses (as explained below) of Internet browsers that visit our site, the time of day the site was visited, and other non-personal information. Anonymous Information includes information that is not specifically tied to any person, but helps us know general information about our users and how they use our website.

COLLECTION AND USE OF IP ADDRESSES AND OTHER INFORMATION

An Internet protocol (I.P.) address is a set of numbers that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you log on to your internet service provider or through your company's local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN). Web servers, the powerful computers that provide web pages for viewing, automatically identify your computer by the IP address assigned to it during your session online.

We may collect I.P. addresses and other Anonymous Information for certain purposes (such as to report non-identifying and aggregate information regarding website visitors to our advertisers and to audit the use of our site). For example, we may share with our advertisers the number of visitors to a particular page on the website, the times of day people visit our site, the types of searches used by our visitors and similar information, but we will not provide advertisers with Personally Identifiable Information about you. We do not ordinarily link a user's I.P. address to a person's personal information, which means we will have a record of each user's session but the user remains anonymous to us.

PLEASE NOTE: Under certain circumstances, I.P. addresses and/or domain names may be linked to Personally Identifiable Information, when said information is stored in databases managed by Internet registrars or registries such as Network Solutions or ARIN. We may also collect certain Personally Identifiable Information from you in order to better serve your needs (for example, collecting a combination of your name, phone number, e-mail address and/or mailing address in order to communicate with you, requesting credit card information for payment of services you request, or other information to facilitate our providing of services to you). If we ask you to provide specific Personally Identifiable Information about yourself, you have the right to withhold such information, although in some circumstances this may impair our ability to provide certain services that you may request.

We will not sell or release any Personally Identifiable Information about you to any outside parties, unless it is needed to provide services you have expressly requested, or unless under exceptional circumstances as may be required by law or to protect legal rights. Specifically, ARMLS may disclose such information in the event that ARMLS believes in good faith that such disclosure is required by law, or to protect its legal rights, or to provide services you have expressly requested.

HOW YOU CAN REQUEST ACCESS TO YOUR INFORMATION, OR CHANGES TO OR REMOVAL OF THIS INFORMATION

If you wish to have access to Personally Identifiable Information about you in our records, please contact us with your request at the mailing address or e-mail address located under the "Contacting Us" paragraph of this Privacy Policy. You may also request that we update any Personally Identifiable Information about you, or request correction of any factual errors that you believe may exist regarding this information. Finally, you may request removal of Personally Identifiable Information about you from our records, or request a restriction on use of such information (although our use of such information is already limited by this Privacy Policy). We will use our commercially reasonable efforts to accommodate any such requests.

SECURITY

We operate secure data networks protected by industry standard firewall and password protection. We have security measures in place to attempt to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of your user data under our control.

Only certain employees have access to the information you provide us. For example, we impose strict rules on our employees who have access either to the databases that store user information or to the servers that host our services. While we cannot guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration to data will not occur, we try to prevent such unfortunate occurrences.
