ARMLS stands for Arizona Regional Multiple Listing Service. ARMLS was incorporated in 1982 - one of the first regional multiple listing companies in the US - its goal being to consolidate the many autonomous boards across the valley into a single system able to provide its members with comprehensive multiple listing and other vital agent services at a reduced cost. ARMLS has many functions including contracting with flexmls to provide the Internet-based multiple listing system and SUPRA to provide the lock box system as well as with web-based companies (i.e. Realtor.com) to license the use and distribution of MLS information on the internet. In addition, ARMLS is responsible for the design and maintenance of the listing profile sheets and legal language forms that our subscribers use to collect information on properties that they are going to list and enter into the MLS system. Other ARMLS functions include:
Enforcing the MLS rules and regulations. Map Books. Identifying new products and services that will be of benefit to our subscribers.
ARMLS is governed by a board of directors, comprised of members who are brokers, owners, and/or agents. The board of directors manages the business of ARMLS and sets policies.
ARMLS has an MLS committee that is responsible for identifying and reviewing changes to existing services and evaluating new services. All members of both the board of directors and this committee are appointed by each participating board of REALTORS. If you have a suggestion for an improvement to an existing service, submit it directly to ARMLS for consideration.
